With an academic base in architecture, I've spent time working in the post-disaster shelter provision and development sector with multinational NGOs. I then moved moved to Australia and working in the construction industry before moving to the ConTech world.

MORE

I started my career in the NGO world with a small not-for-profit called Pisco Sin Fronteras, which helped in the recovery of the city of Pisco, Peru after they suffered a 7.9 magnitude earthquake. I was a project manager and project architect who lead a team doing mainly residential reconstruction, including earthquake resistant 'earth-bag' dwellings.

I then spent time in the largest 'slum' area of South America, Soacha on the southern side of Bogota, Colombia. I worked with the UN OPS 'Viviendas Saludables' to deliver a community driven WASH project in Soacha, also worked with the Colombian Armed Forces as a consultant in recently liberated zones of the central amazon district. Was also the Project lead on a modular housing project with General Motors, which delivered sustainable and adaptable modular housing to vulnerable communities.

My major thesis was on effective means of aid giving, and I have technical skills in logistics, various CAD softwares, project delivery and team leading.

Most recently I ran a photography project with the Cork Simon Foundation called "Out of the Picture" which enabled and empowered the homeless community of Cork to tell their story by arming them with high-end cameras, and a gallery exhibition which was intended for 3 weeks, but went on for 4 months due to popular demand.

I've volunteered with the Red Cross in Australia, and also with "On My Feet,' and always looking at ways to dontate my time and skill to worthy causes.
