My name is Matt Lemay and I am an Enterprise Solutions Lead for Additive Manufacturing (AM) in Autodesk's Customer Success organization. My professional role is to help Enterprise Manufacturers understand what it will take to succeed with AM in their business.
My Pro-Bono passion is to use the advantages of AM to drive real, social impact. AM's benefits for the environments and society are just beginning to be understood.
(1) For the environment: "Additive Manufacturing mimics biological processes by creating products layer-by-layer. It is inherently less wasteful than traditional production methods and holds the potential to decouple social and economic value creation from the environmental impact of business activities".
(2) For society: Additive Manufacturing allows us to create patient specific implants and prosthesis at low-cost, enabling this healthcare expand to areas of the world that could never access it in the past.
Prior to joining Autodesk I worked in the Medical industry for Patient-specific Implant technology and in Aerospace Composites.
