Hello! I'm Mike Warren, experimental fabricator and best-selling author based in San Francisco. Fluent in sawdust and CNC, I'm equally comfortable designing on the computer as I am fabricating with my hands.
Since 2005 I've been producing digital and physical prototypes out of whatever I can get my hands on, turning crazy ideas into a tangible reality. My aim is to inspire, educate, and entertain. The results can be messy, but are always fun!

Mike is a fully dipped design engineer, taking big ideas and distilling them into actionable ideas that are then turned into prototypes. With years of hands-on experience in idea generation, research, product design, CAD/CAM, and product iteration, I've made hundreds of products that solve problems and delight users.
With a B.Sc in Construction Management and a background in Architecture & Building Engineering, I combine my knowledge of the built environment with practical knowledge in manufacturing, all with a healthy dose of creativity.
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, I've worked across the world inventing prototypes and carefully documenting the process so the widest possible audience can participate.
