I have been working for Autodesk for almost 4 years, having started on the graduate program straight out of Loughborough University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Since starting at Autodesk I have worked on the applications side with a range of our solutions, with a focus on the specialty manufacturing products. More recently my main focus has been within Fusion 360, primarily working with various hardware partners in the manufacturing sector to educate and promote Fusion 360 to both them and our joint customers, with my expertise being around the CAM environment.

MORE

I have a background in Mechanical Engineering, having graduated from university in this subject before starting work with Autodesk. My first year at Autodesk I was on the graduate program, based out of Birmingham, UK, which meant I got to do various rotations around the business, exposing me to all areas across manufacturing. I worked mainly with our manufacturing speciality products, such as PowerShape and FeatureCAM, giving me a broad base knowledge in the design and manufacturing side of the business. I also got to use a variety of hardware along with our products, such as 3D printers, CNC machine tools, and laser scanners.

Following the graduate year I started full time in the Product Specialist team, with my focus being on PowerInspect. I worked with customers in a range of industries to implement solutions for them on-site, and consult them on the use of the software along with their accompanying hardware. This ranged from machine tools to CMMs and manual measurement arms. This also gave me the opportunity to travel abroad for work which I enjoy a lot. Around a year ago our team's focus changed to Fusion 360, which meant I learnt and worked much more with the design and CAM capabilities within this product. I moved to the Machine Data and Process Insights team, with my role now mainly consisting of working with our hardware partners, such as machine tool vendors and tooling companies, to educate and support them in Fusion 360, and working with them on joint design and manufacture projects. I have also more recently increased my work within Generative Design, taking part in a project with an aerospace customer to help design a number of parts with them using GD. I have completed two Pro Bono projects so far, both around manufacturing techniques for construction type projects for application in Africa.

People like to work with me because I am easy going but committed and hardworking, and always happy to help out however I can.
