Software Engineer, Autodesk
I am currently a software engineer working on research projects as part of the additive manufacturing team for Fusion 360 and Netfabb. My background is in design and manufacturing with experience in professional design consultancies and have experience working with robotic systems, utilising ROS. I have a personal interest in architectural design, theory and history.
My background is in design and manufacturing with a focus on human-centred design through my BSc and MSc in Product Design from Cardiff Metropolitan University. I’ve worked in a professional environment as a design engineer for a consultancy based in the South of Wales, before joining Autodesk via the graduate scheme. During the graduate scheme I was exposed to a range of disciplines, from robotics for manufacturing to FEA and simulation. I joined the additive manufacturing team as a software engineer, focusing on research projects and process automation tools for Fusion 360 and Netfabb.
I am an extremely driven individual and through my design consultancy background, I’m able to work well within teams and as an individual. I’ve taken part in several projects in the past that focus on designing for a range of societal and environmental contexts and I have also had the opportunity to volunteer in Namibia, teaching design thinking and problem solving to students around the country. I’m friendly and approachable and above all, excited to learn new skills.
