How can I help you get sh*t done? My professional experience and skill set includes product support, product training, technical writing, people, project, and program management, with a focus on customer experience. I am also trained and experienced as a yoga teacher, life coach, and improv teacher - surprisingly useful when things get stressful! :) One of my superpowers is organizing and breaking down an overwhelming problem or set of information into a manageable challenge. I'm also a visual artist with some good data visualization skills for impactful Powerpoint presentations.

Specific skills, tools, and experiences I'd like to highlight:

- Global, multi-lingual focus: I grew up in South Africa, as a German, Afrikaans, and English speaker. I started working for Autodesk in 1995 in South Africa, and moved to the Bay Area in 1998. I am not a Localization expert, but with my experience as a technical writer and managing writing teams, I have a fairly good handle on global language, cultural, and technical considerations when developing a program or application.

- Writing and communication skills (English). Once a technical writer, always a technical writer. While my day job per se is not a writing job, my writing, editing, and communication skills are two of my biggest professional assets.

- Teaching and course development: Building on the writing skills, I have developed many training courses in my career, including a 3-week onboarding experience for new team of new hire support consultants, as well as day-long classes for learning a tax-related application, and most recently a 7-week art course called Making Art, Making Magic! :)

- Tools/applications: I used to not like Powerpoint and now I love it. I have always loved Excel! Smartsheet, Snagit, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop (some, not so recent) ... many more. Mind mapping. Some processes for problem solving and brainstorming, meeting facilitation, although this isn't my daily focus. More broad expertise than deep.

- Scheduling, estimates, team building, getting sh*t done, ability to see the big picture AND stay practical and "next-step" focused.

- People like to work with me because I am kind, warm, a good listener, a good organizer, a good bottom-liner, and a good getting sh*t-done'r. And I have a good sense of humor!
