Program Manager, ECS
A highly effective program manager, with an outstanding track-record in the not-for-profit sector, including 17 years with the United Nations. Formerly led UNHCR's Gifts In-Kind Team and have subject matter expertise in global GIK strategy and brokering global UN-corporate partnerships.
I am a program manager who has spent the majority of my career with the United Nations organizations WFP, UNICEF, and UNHCR. I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and in most of my HQ roles I was in charge of developing policies and procedures for new initiatives and supporting colleagues across the organization in their rollout and implementation. I enjoy developing strategy and improving processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness and collaborating with others across departments (legal, finance, budget, procurement, logistics, fundraisers, etc) to solve complex crosscutting problems.
I recently spent 8 years working with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) leading and coordinating UNHCR’s engagement with the private sector for the mobilization of in-kind donations with a view to ensuring these donations meet UNHCR standards and that donors are approached in a consistent, proactive and strategic manner. I worked closely with colleagues in various technical units, support units, bureaus, and field operations of UNHCR to make policy and system improvements based upon best practices we’ve developed from lessons learned. I developed a strategy for UNHCR’s in-kind engagement with the private-sector and worked with partnership managers to ensure it was applied consistently around the world.
I'd love to use this expertise on gifts in-kind strategy and best practice to help NGOs and UN agencies with their GIK portfolios.
