Data Architect, Autodesk
It's all about the data. From modeling business entities and related attributes, driving to logical and physical implementations, defining data contracts and ensuring data ownership by the appropriate domains. that's where I live.
I have worked in tech since the early 80s and have played developer, implementer, business and systems analyst, data modeler, data warehouse designer, data modeler, consultant, web designer and developer, project and people manager, and any other hat you can think of. But data is my passion and in my current role as data architect at I am looking at changing the way data flows through our current legacy landscape to create a modern, customer centric and data driven architecture. This requires undoing, unvovering, rewiring, retiring and replumbing of the way that data is collected, stored, shared and used within the organization.
Why do people like to work with me? I am pragmatic and logical and enjoy a healthy jousting to arrive at the best solution together as a team. I make sure all affected teams are aware, involved and contribute to the change towards our new data infrastructure. No data project can succeed in silo.
