Data Engineer, Data Management
I am a data engineer who has worked at Autodesk since February 2021. As a member of recently acquired Spacemaker, I have two years of work experience building cloud-based software with focused proficiency on AWS and back-end services (Python, ML). Additionally I am interested in machine learning infrastructure and am a member of the AEC Design ML team.
Hello! My name is Jeffrey Landes and I'm a data engineer (soon to be machine learning engineer) working for Spacemaker-now-Autodesk out of Cambridge, MA. My background is Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley (went coast-to-coast) where my studies focused on machine learning and algorithms. I have worked for Spacemaker-now-Autodesk since August 2019, during which time I have become proficient with developing machine learning infrastructure and cloud-based software.
As a machine-learning engineer I have worked on projects which predict noise and wind within a fraction of a second (the full analyses themselves take anywhere from 5-45 minutes). As a data engineer I have worked on the automatic simplification of geometrical meshes and have helped develop the terrain system in Spacemaker-now-Autodesk during which I was able to develop expertise in certain GIS applications (LiDar, Tiff, Mesh).
I am super eager to get involved with Autodesk Pro Bono Consulting - it seems an invaluable opportunity to learn more, to leverage my proficiencies to help others, and to meet great people.
