Principal Software Engineer, PSET
I use my software engineering skills to automate routine tasks, visualise data and make day-to-day life easier. I have been volunteering since 2017, and am a team player. I tend to focus on simple and lasting solutions, and make sure the solution is user friendly. I am a willing learner, and love to take up challenges.
Background:
I come from a humble middle class family in Maharashtra, India. I completed my bachelors' degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Nagpur, where I had exposure to a lot of talented people, great professors and opportunities. I focused on building small projects to learn any technology. I try to keep a growth mindset, where I am always willing to learn and adapt to situations.
Work:
I have worked in software development since 2015. Apart from this, I have been volunteering with the Robin Hood Army for the past 6 years, where we teach kids in slums and collect leftover food from restaurants to serve the needy. I am responsible for maintaining the data of the organisation, making sure we have the right reports, data pipelines and dashboards for each kind of user within the organization. We have always worked as a team, and ensured that our goal was always to serve the needy, and not let any kind of biases or opinions get in the way.
Why people love to work with me:
I am an engineer and love to build things. I have been mentoring engineers since 2019. I ensure that they grow along with me. I like to put forward challenges, and help my team navigate them. I listen actively, support when needed, advice when asked, and keep quiet when required. I have made mistakes, but I ensure that I learn from them, and share my learnings so that others can learn from my mistakes too.
