Software architect, BID-AEC Generative Design
I've been a software problem solver for 20+ years. I'm a generalist, both in technology and outside of it: I try to inform my engineering perspective from lots of outside fields and practices.
At Autodesk I've spent my entire career on design tools for architecture, engineering, and construction, both on the desktop and in the cloud, front end and back end. I was on the Revit team pre-acquisition, and I've spent the last few years working on generative design and goal-driven design, making the computer more of a design partner and not just a documentation tool. I also moonlight as a public artist, with two sculptures currently up in the Boston area, and enjoy collaborating with a variety of music, theater, and other artists in adding technology to their practices, lately with a focus on live-streaming.
I can plan and write software on a variety of platforms in a variety of languages, including C/C++/C#, Javascript, Python, Go, Rust, using AWS, Digital Ocean, Heroku on the cloud and Microsoft MFC/WF/WPF, Qt, JUCE, and openFrameworks on the desktop. For creative tools I have experience with Revit, FormIt, Fusion, Eagle, DaVinci Resolve, OBS.
