Hello :)
As a researcher and user-experience designer on the Sustainability and Foundation team at Autodesk, I support the team in understanding the needs of our customers (grantees and partners) and articulating insights to the team. I pilot, test and co-create solutions that help, build and communicate our value proposition and support services. I am also responsible for the Foundation’s complete customer data capture (both qualitative and quantitative) and visualization for the team to easily make sense of it.
I am passionate about using design as a tool for social impact. In 2018, I graduated with a Master's in Design for Social Innovation developing skills in ethnographic research, facilitation, UX, mapping complex systems, data visualization, social entrepreneurship, and leadership. For my thesis, I worked directly with informal recyclers to reduce the criminalization they face and spark conversations about the relationship between social inclusion and environmental sustainability in New York City. I am an industrial designer by training and have more than three years experience designing and manufacturing products in India. In the past, I have worked with a number of local communities in India focusing on design as a tool for community empowerment, developing strategies for incomes augmentation and self-reliance. My thesis project ‘Design for Change’ was selected among the top 10 projects in Asia and consequently won the Design for Asia Student Award in 2012 at HKDC, Hong Kong.
Currently, I work at the Autodesk Foundation, where I use my skills to support entrepreneurs and innovators who are creating innovative design solutions to the world's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Looking forward to working with you all!
