Maya & Mudbox Quality Assurance Analystance, Autodesk
20 years ago, I serendipitously fell into 3Danimation after graduating with a BFA and have been working in the industry ever since! My area's of specialization are modeling, animation, and rendering, Virtual Reality, and teaching 3D animation.
I majored in Fine Art with a minor in Anthropology at the University of Toronto. I went on to Sheridan College for a year studying 3D computer animation using Alias 2.4. That was a long time ago! From there, I worked at the Banff Centre for the Arts as part of a 2 year residency program called Art and Virtual Environments. I then went on to work in a small animation studio where the majority of my work was broadcast television before moving on to teach Power Animator. I moved back to Toronto and joined Alias as a Senior Support agent specializing in Maya and StudioPaint.
Since my time as a Support agent, I've been an Account Manager for Autodesk's largest film accounts as well as my current position which is a Maya and Mudbox Quality Assurance specialist. I continue to create curriculum and teach Maya at the Ontario College of Art and Design as well as volunteer as a Gallery Guide at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
