Markus is a landscape architect by training and an expert in BIM, CAD, GIS, and 3D city modelling. Prior to joining Autodesk consulting in 2020, he was Product Manager for BIM 360 Design, and formerly held technical sales roles at Autodesk and Autodesk resellers since 2002. Markus combines deep, inside-out product knowledge with experience using Autodesk software to help customers in the construction and infrastructure spaces implement BIM solutions.
Markus developed an affinity for AutoCAD as a landscape architecture student, and secured a part-time job demonstrating AutoCAD at trade fairs before eventually joining the company full time. As a consultant, he has brought innovative approaches to engagements, including agile methodologies and solutions for remote collaboration. In early 2020, he advanced a pilot software integration project conducted completely online. The project has since been adopted into production by the customer, verifying the team’s creative workarounds of travel limitations in 2020. Today, Markus specializes in helping AEC and Manufacturing firms achieve digital transformation around their design and build processes.
While Markus has become an expert in BIM and 3D design software for all applications, he maintains a passion for landscaping and integrating plants and nature with structures.
