Research Manager, Autodesk Research
I'm a mechanical engineer turned software developer and now - team manger. Polish originally, London based. I help turn good ideas into reality, focusing on validation, user research and minimum viable product. I'm passionate about bringing some of the ways software developers do their jobs into the workflows of "traditional" engineers (mechanical, structural etc). I also mentor students and am very interested in how we could do better with education opportunities.
I've been involved in developing generative design algorithms for manufacturing and AEC fields and investigating the future of engineering workflows, including with XR technologies. Graduated MEng from the University of Edinburgh and studied solar engineering in Sydney, Australia. I started my career on various marine projects for Royal IHC and Voltsport: designing structures of subsea pipe-lay machinery, hydropower, yacht systems, crane hydraulics.
The last few years I've been a full stack software developer, first at JP Morgan Chase and then here, at Autodesk. I've programmed in a host of front and backend languages, built projects in Unity, created designs in CAD. I'm great at connecting people, finding the bigger picture and fast at picking up new tech.
