Shauna provide's value to the finance community through accounting research, accounting standard update analysis (business impact) & implementation, and policy maintenance. Her diversified decade spent in Deloitte's global audit practice (prior to joining Autodesk) enables her to bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to analyze any scenario. With in-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting, she wants to lend her expertise to those in need.

Shauna is a Washington native who graduated from Washington State University in 2009 and become a licensed CPA later that year. She joined the Deloitte audit practice in their Portland, OR office that fall, spending the next 10 years with the firm primarily working on SEC clients. In 2014, Shauna transferred to Deloitte’s Vienna, Austria office for a two year rotation, where she honed her Germanglish skills and spent plenty of time on planes, trains, and automobiles. In 2016 upon returning to the Deloitte US firm, Shauna joined Deloitte’s Internal Inspections practice, as well as their Global Center of Excellence where she coached SEC Engagements worldwide, while maintaining US active client engagements. She also spent time working on the software development of Deloitte’s future global cloud-based audit platform.

Shauna joined Autodesk in May 2019, based in the Portland, OR office, as a Senior Manager in Technical Accounting, and continues to maintain her active CPA license. In her Technical Accounting role, she focuses primarily on accounting research in the "gray area” to aid Autodesk in making informed decisions that are in compliance with US GAAP (excluding tax and revenue); introducing and implementing new accounting standards with finance teams; and ensuring internal finance policies stay current and in line with US GAAP. Accounting research projects can vary widely with such topics as bifurcation of debt-hosted investments, business combinations, stock-based compensation, the accounting impact of non-cash funding of projects, financial statement classification, etc.
