Experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of building distributed, scalable web services. Skilled in Java, and passionate about new technologies.

I have experience in building, maintaining, and extending back-end services. My four most recent years have involved micro-services, Spring Boot, Java, and AWS. The majority of my development experience involves Java, but I'm also comfortable with Python, SQL, Groovy, Golang, Ruby, and Javascript.

I enjoy exploring new frameworks, technologies, languages, and I'm passionate about best practices, asynchronous communication, and learning from other people's perspectives.

Some of my areas of interest where I don't have professional experience are machine learning, front-end and mobile application development. I have experimented with these at some point during my free time.

I also have experience translating and interpreting between Spanish and English for Engineers Without Borders during college.
