Throughout my time at Autodesk, I have always enjoyed being in a company that is so often pioneering new technology and processes. As we have the knowledge, we should be using these processes and technologies to further better the society we, and others, live in. I hope to be able to use my skills from the design and manufacturing world to aid in these pro-bono projects.

MORE

I uncovered my passion for design and manufacturing whilst studying for my Masters in Mechanical Engineering. I had always been interested in how things worked and why things were designed the way that they were, but I had very little knowledge of the workflows behind the scenes. I initially joined Autodesk as a summer intern in the Birmingham Office during this time, and this gave me the ability to see how my designs could be made a reality via manufacturing. This gave me a newfound interest in intelligent design workflows such as Generative Design, ways in which the design process could be optimized in order to take into account much more than just the aesthetics or performance of the part.

This passion has led to a variety of projects at Autodesk, from generative design to injection molding simulation. This has provided me with a very rounded skillset within Fusion360, often completing projects spanning from ideation all the way through to production. The design and make process is something that I really enjoy and would I would be very keen to be able to share that passion with any available projects as part of the Pro Bono Consulting programme.
